Greetings Ms. Messenger
In an effort to try to be helpful, here are a few more resources for you to improve your understanding of the issues surrounding the AAHTF and its DEI initiative – and to provide you alternative resources for these endeavors.
If there is one issue that schoolboard members should be well-versed on, it is Critical Race Theory/DEI – being able to recognize it when you see it – and having alternative resources available to propose patriotic, positive solutions to achieve whatever objectives the AAHTF/DEI effort purports to achieve.
You have a professional responsibility to have a thorough understanding of CRT and of how the “theory” is being put into practice via DEI initiatives.
Doing the research below will take you less than one hour.
1. Resources to understand and recognize Critical Race Theory and it’s operational companion, Diversity/Equity/Inclusivity (DEI):
a. Prager University 5 minute video on “What is Critical Theory?” – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Zy6DQoRYQw
b. Black, female political science professor Carol Swain explains the link between CRT/DEI and threat to American society – 5 minutes – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_G_3UBciTEY&t=175s
c. Dr. Swain on “What I can teach you about racism” – 5 minutes – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Htm8TuB-5Hc
d. Dr. Swains statement on the link between CRT/DEI and cultural Marxism – https://twitter.com/carolmswain/status/1302225317537423368?t=EZLSOTr_wHYvB3xDTiRNUw&s=03
e. Male, black English professor Shelby Steele on the perniciousness of CRT – 5 minutes – Here’s what the left really wants: Shelby Steele – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vl7slVibMYo
f. Male, black economics professor Thomas Sowell, 5 minutes – on the solution to low performing schools instead of “seeking equity” with DEI initiatives” – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gP5j-WOi2O0
You should also read his book Charter Schools and Their Enemies
2. A patriotic, uplifting teaching of black American history from an organization up in Pinellas county with a black female retired Lt Col as one of its co-directors.
3. Dr. Swain’s “Unity” consulting business that helps organizations to operate within a constitutional, unifying framework instead of a culturally divisive DEI framework.
You – or the school system – can even sign up for a free consultation right there on the homepage.
4. I – and my many supporters – want to be helpful to ensure that the teaching of black history is patriotic and positive – and that cultural Marxism initiatives are excluded from the Manatee county school system.
We are counting on your to do your constitutional and patriotic duty in this area – and we are here to help.
We would much prefer the path of helpfulness and consultation with the school system to address our concerns.
But we are prepared to be much more assertive if our concerns are not addressed in revisions to the AAHTF and in removing “DEI” completely from our school system, to include the school system’s strategic plan.
Patriotically yours
