Tara Poulton, a lifelong Republican and seasoned public servant, is running for Manatee County Commission, District 6. Tara has experience working at the local, state, and federal levels of government.
A Lakewood Ranch resident, Tara is a wife and a mom. She has a master’s degree in public administration from Florida State University and a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of South Florida.
Tara comes from a family deeply committed to service. She is the wife of a US Navy veteran and daughter and sister of law enforcement officers. In 2024, she was nominated for the “Community Champion” Award by the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance.
